Guys, I'm dying here. Las Vegas Summer League is the most wonderful time of the year as far as I'm concerned. The basketball is so-so, but the potential and excitement is both electric and esoteric. It's like the Gathering of the Juggaloes for basketball nerds. And I'm stuck in Ohio working instead of checking out Larry Johnson Grandmama jerseys in the crowd and being wrong about NBA prospects.
What it's not is any sort of solid indicator for future NBA success, anymore than a wild crowd response and the Gathering is an indicator of future chart success.
