The Phoenix Suns traded Markieff Morris to the Washington Wizards for a protected first-round draft pick in this year's draft and power forwards Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair.
Just before the Thursday deadline hit, the Suns agreed to a trade that sends Morris to the Wizards for a draft pick that would stay with the Wizards if it is in the draft's top nine. Washington currently has the NBA’s 12th-worst record and is three games out of playoff position at 23-28.
The Suns also acquire Blair, whose contract has a $2 million team option for next season, and Humphries, who is under contract for $4.
