Suns to sign veteran point guard Ricky Rubio to three-year, $51 million deal

Ricky Rubio is coming to Phoenix.

The Suns and Rubio agreed to a three-year deal for $51 million on Sunday, the first day of NBA free agency, a league source confirmed to The Republic.

The Athletic first reported the deal.

Utah acquiring Mike Conley Jr. in a trade with Memphis earlier this month was the final message that the Jazz were moving forward without Rubio, an unrestricted free agent.

So Phoenix winds up getting Rubio to address their greatest need at point guard.
