The Suns’ plan for the season was to have one of the most formidable center tandems in the NBA with a quality big man on the floor nearly all the time between newcomer Tyson Chandler and protégé Alex Len.
When they have been able to stick to the plan, it works pretty well.
In games that Chandler and Len log at least 45 of the minutes at center, the Suns are 7-1. The unfortunate part for the Suns is they only have an 18-game sample of Len and Chandler being available for a full game. Len has played all 28 games but Chandler missed nine games to injury or illness and played four minutes in another before leaving with the hamstring injury.
