With three point guards already on the roster, the Suns didn’t need to add fourth for basketball purposes.
But they did need another veteran to help mentor a roster full of young players, which is why they signed Ronnie Price to a 10-day contract on Friday.
It’s the third time Price, an 11-year veteran, has been with the franchise.
“You can never have enough older guys who have done it the right way, play the right way, carry themselves the right way on and off the court, to teach the young guys how to be professional,” coach Earl Watson said.
