The Suns have a new point guard, at least as another stopgap option. Jawun Evans was signed by Phoenix to their second two-way contract alongside George King on Friday hours before tip against Miami.
He will be in Phoenix, and on the Suns roster, for tonight’s game against Miami.
In 14 appearances for the Northern Arizona Suns this season, Evans averaged 18.5 points, 4 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.6 steals. And over his past seven games, Evans is second in the G League in scoring, which includes three straight 30-plus point performances.
