By Monday, the Suns’ roster could be the same one that opens the regular season in late October.
The Suns already had agreements in place to take their roster to 13 guaranteed players but Friday made it more official with the signings of free agents Mirza Teletovic, Sonny Weems and Ronnie Price.
The signing of Brandon Knight was saved for last to allow the Suns to use salary-cap space for other players before using his Bird rights to exceed the salary cap. Knight will sign a five-year, $70 million deal by Monday. That will give the Suns 13 guaranteed contracts, meeting the regular-season roster minimum but leaving space for up to two more players if a player of interest becomes available.
