Suns set to pick Deandre Ayton at No. 1 in NBA draft, but there's more drama at No. 16

Those six little words have been teasing fans since the moment the 2017-18 season ended. Or, more precisely, since it was apparent Phoenix would finish with the worst record (21-61) in the NBA and have the most chances in the May 15 draft lottery to land the first No. 1 pick in franchise history.

When the lottery finally fell Phoenix's way, those six words represented something that hasn't been part of the Suns' franchise for years:

Hope.

Now, after missing the playoffs eight straight seasons, after collecting assets and bottoming out, the Suns have a chance, finally, to move forward.
