Deandre Ayton likes what he saw Sunday afternoon in fellow rookies Elie Okobo and Mikal Bridges.
“When you have guys like that stepping up and being a spark like that, it’s so great to see,” Ayton said. “I was really happy with them just shooting the ball. Not really hesitating. Not really overthinking, just playing.”
With Devin Booker doubtful and point guard Isaiah Canaan questionable for Wednesday's game against San Antonio (4-2) with injuries, Phoenix may have to lean even more on Bridges and Okobo as it begins a five-game homestand looking to snap a five-game losing skid.
