In March of 2018 Ty Jerome experienced the lowest of basketball lows. His Virginia Cavaliers were ousted by the UMBC Retrievers, becoming the first number one seed to fall to a sixteenth-seeded team in NCAA Tournament history.
In April of 2019 Jerome experienced the highest of basketball highs. His Cavaliers defeated the Texas Tech Red Raiders to capture Virginia’s first national title.
In July of 2019 Jerome is a rookie guard for the Phoenix Suns, a team still in the NBA. And just in case the Phoenix faithful are taking their basketball to seriously, the 22-year-old introduced some levity to the NBA Summer League in breathtaking Las Vegas, Nevada.
