Devin Booker skyrocketed to the statistical stratosphere of LeBron James and Kevin Durant for a glorious game on Tuesday night.
He may be a shooting star in the Suns season’s dark sky, but that 32-point performance was not as isolated as a meteor’s flash.
Despite being the NBA’s youngest player, Booker has shown steady growth to be a deserving candidate for one of nine rookie slots in the All-Star weekend’s Rising Stars Challenge.
Booker’s 32-point game made him the third-youngest NBA player to have a 30-point game. Only James and Durant scored 30 at a younger age than Booker, who was 19 years and 81 days, but James and Durant did it in their 17th career starts.
