The Suns have four practices over five days before Wednesday night’s regular-season opener and the coaches have one player, at least, who shares in their excitement about that.
Ronnie Price returned to the team Friday for practice after being out with mononucleosis since last appearing in a game Oct. 13.
Price, pain-free after a February elbow surgery, was thriving in his first three preseason appearances with averages of 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 21.5 minutes per game.
Since then, he was sequestered at home with the infectious illness. If a game was not shown on NBA League Pass, Price was following it on the radio and online.
