Phoenix Suns coach Monty Williams says his two veteran leaders are "day-to-day," but Ricky Rubio has hopes to return Wednesday against the Washington Wizards after missing four games because of back spasms.
"It's been painful to watch, but I’m back," Rubio said. "I feel good. I want to rush it when I didn't have to, and it really took a little longer than I expected, but that's what happens sometimes. I think I'm back, I'm good, I'm healthy and wanted to make sure I was good."
Williams said Rubio "took a big step" toward returning as he fully participated in Tuesday’s practice.
