Video killed the radio star. At least that’s what the Buggles tried to tell us. But could social media kill the college star’s draft stock?

In a world where we’re more connected than a set of LEGO , one tap of the “send” button and 140 characters can change the perception of a person’s character and create a public relations nightmare. And let’s not even get started on what a picture (or emoji) can do. In the wrong hands in this day and age, it can cost an athlete millions rather than be worth 1,000 words.

But just how closely are NBA teams, in particular the Suns, looking at Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and other social channels when determining whether or not to draft a college prospect?
