The Phoenix Suns have reportedly made the first of their roster cuts, as they have 17 players on standard contracts, two more than they are allowed by the time the regular season starts.
The team has reportedly waived Ish Wainright, bringing them down to 16 players on standard contracts, according to Hoops Hype’ Michael Scotto.
The Phoenix Suns have waived forward Ishmail Wainright, league sources told @hoopshype. Wainright has appeared in 105 games for the Suns over the past two seasons.

Wainright has not played in a game yet for the Suns this preseason, as he had been nursing a right calf strain.
