The Phoenix Suns today presented the Maricopa County Sheriff Office Animal Safe Haven Unit, known as MASH, with a $500,000 grant towards its new building fund that will allow the organization to expand its rescue and rehabilitation efforts. MASH houses, socializes and rehomes animals from abuse and neglect criminal cases while providing inmates with quality animal education and therapeutic services. The $500,000 grant is part of the Phoenix Suns’ Rise Together campaign, a $10 million commitment to the City of Phoenix, its nonprofits and programs.
“We’re thrilled to support MASH in their mission of providing care and a loving home for neglected animals,” said Phoenix Suns President and CEO Jason Rowley.
