CHICAGO – Tyler Ulis attended high school about 25 miles from the United Center. The Suns rookie point guard attended games here, but not as a Bulls fan. He came to see Allen Iverson, his idol. It’s the reason he wore No. 3 at Marian Catholic High.
In fact, Ulis was here just last week to have that No. 3 jersey honored. He wore his letter jacket to his old stomping grounds, a trip back through time.
“It meant a lot,” Ulis said. “That’s something you dream of as a kid.”
On Friday night against the Bulls, Ulis was showcased in a different way, as a possible part of Phoenix’s future.
