The first big domino of the 2023 NBA offseason has happened.
The Phoenix Suns’ pursuit of an NBA title continued by acquiring Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards for Chris Paul, Landry Shamet and “multiple” second round picks, bolstering the team’s roster around Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
Suns are expected to send Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, multiple second-round picks and pick swaps to Wizards, sources tell ESPN. Phoenix has no available first-rounders to include in trade. Beal’s no-trade limited Wizards’ marketplace. Deal could take a few days to be finalized.

Beal is in the middle of a “super-max” contract that included a no trade clause, making it easier for the Suns to outbid limited suitors for the former All-Star wing.
