Mirza Teletovic searches for a word from the American vernacular to sum up why he is so optimistic for a man who grew up running home each time a bomb siren sounded and who dodged another life-threatening matter in December when blood clots were found in his lungs.
“Scareless.”
It will take something other than doubt or fear to derail Teletovic, who turned 30 (“It’s the new 20,” he said) on Thursday and has played pickup games with his new Suns teammates daily for two weeks.
Having spent most of his pro career in Europe and played a bench role for 2 ½ seasons in Brooklyn, Teletovic is relatively unknown in Phoenix but fans may soon learn how much his 3-point shooting ability - even as a 6-foot-9 power forward - can spread the floor.
