SAN ANTONIO – Devin Booker was looking forward to facing San Antonio again after Phoenix fell to the Spurs by a deuce for the second time this season.
“We’ll see them next week,” Booker said after the 120-118 loss at Talking Stick Arena.
The Suns were hoping to go into their third and final game against the Spurs with momentum, but were drilled by Indiana, 112-87, Wednesday night. So they enter this three-game road trip losers of their last two games and losing ground on the eighth and final playoff spot.
The Suns are 2 1/2 games behind the Spurs, who have the eighth spot in the West.
