Suns keep 'yoga day' in season schedule

LOS ANGELES – The Suns woke up Monday in the city where they had played Sunday night as if they needed to be refreshed and to leave a flat losing effort to the Lakers behind them.

Yoga day.

Just as they have done regularly since the offseason, the Suns built a required yoga session for players and staffers into their three-game road trip in lieu of practice Monday. Before the getaway to Portland, there was namaste on Manhattan Beach.

“We like to talk about mindfulness and being aware and being connected with everyone involved,” Suns coach Earl Watson said.
