WASHINGTON – As the Suns season has gone on, the roles of reserves Mirza Teletovic, T.J. Warren, Devin Booker, Ronnie Price and Jon Leuer have grown.
Coach Jeff Hornacek wishes he would have let that happen more during Wednesday night’s loss at Detroit, where the Suns blew a 15-point lead in the final seven minutes of regulation to fall in overtime and lose for the sixth time in the past seven games.
The Suns starters, including Leuer on Tuesday because Markieff Morris sat out with a knee bruise, dug a hole early for the backups to erase.
