The Suns on Monday have a decision to make regarding Leandro Barbosa.
The veteran guard has a $4 million contract for next season, but only $500,000 is guaranteed. If Barbosa remains on the roster past Monday, his entire contract becomes guaranteed.
Barbosa, 34, just completed his 14th NBA season. In 67 games last season with the Suns, he averaged 6.3 points in 14.4 minutes off the bench. He shot 43.9 percent from the field and 35.7 from 3-point range.
Throughout his career, Barbosa – a fan favorite – has been known for speed. Coach Earl Watson admitted last season that the reserve guard may have lost a slight step, but nothing more.
