In Archie Goodwin’s eight-game career as a starting Suns point guard, he wants results yesterday.
Suns interim head coach Earl Watson is seeking results for the future, willing to overlook that Goodwin has tallied nearly as many turnovers (34) as assists (38) in the eight-game stretch because of how invested Watson is in Goodwin's improvement.
“Archie cares,” Watson said. “You never want to take away the care factor. He cares. It’s not about him. He felt bad that he had those turnovers. It really hit him in the heart.”
With 24 turnovers as a team, it's clear the Suns' issues extended beyond Goodwin’s team-high six in Thursday’s loss to Houston.
