ATLANTA – On nights like Tuesday when Devin Booker is belying his age with 34 points, it is hard to not start or finish plays with the ball in his hands to give the team chances to win and the rookie invaluable experiences.
At the same time, Suns interim head coach Earl Watson does not want Booker out of his future element too often down the stretch. With Brandon Knight shut down for the season due to a sports hernia, Watson would like to see the backup point guard duties fall more to Archie Goodwin than Booker.
“We want to make sure we bring Devin along with strategy and not just out of desperation,” Watson said.
