James Jones hears all of it.
The doubt. The bitterness. The anger. The fear. The skepticism. The cynicism. The antagonism. All the “isms.” The suspicion. The hesitance. The hate. All the junk that’s built up from a .376 winning percentage since the Suns last made the playoffs in 2010.
And he’s not worried about any of it — even if it could be legit.
“I come into this every day just excited about the future,” Jones said after announcing Monty Williams on Tuesday as the Suns’ next head coach.
“I think the story always comes back to our past, and I’m not focused on our past.
