The Suns used their No. 4 pick in Thursday's NBA draft to select Dragan Bender, an 18-year-old power forward from Croatia.
The pick was the Suns' highest position since they took Armon Gilliam with the No. 2 overall choice in 1987.
Phoenix had only three previous top-10 picks since 2000 (Amar'e Stoudemire, No. 9 in 2002; Luol Deng, No. 7 in 2005; Alex Len, No. 5 in 2013). Just like last year with Devin Booker, the Suns selected the youngest player in the draft. Bender is 19 days younger than Booker was on his draft night last year.
