Devin Booker could retire today with two distinctions – the youngest NBA player to ever retire and the highest career 3-point percentage in NBA history for players with four or more made 3s.
“I’m not planning on retiring now,” the 19-year-old said. “Hopefully, I can keep it up.”
The sample size is small but it affirms every kudo Booker had received as his draft class’ best shooter. He has made 7 of 9 3-point tries this season, but none had been as impressive or important as the two he made Wednesday against Chicago in his first extended minutes of a close game.
