Since late November, Suns guard Archie Goodwin has not appeared in more than two games in a row.
In his third season, Goodwin could be fairly frustrated with his extended bench view despite still being one of the NBA’s younger players at 21.
Instead of seeing difficulty in his opportunity, Goodwin saw opportunity in the difficulty. He made the most of a rare chance at rotation playing time Friday night, playing possibly his best game of the season in a 103-95 home loss to Miami with nine points, four rebounds and four assists in 16 minutes.
Goodwin’s chance happened because the Suns, with Eric Bledsoe already out, held out another guard, Ronnie Price, because of a toe sprain.
