Suns add their point guard of the future, Elie Okobo, at No. 31

The Suns not only walked out of the 2018 Draft with Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges, but they ended up taking a third rookie on by selecting Elie Okobo.

Okobo worked out for the Suns two weeks ago matched up against West Virginia’s Jevon Carter, but not many expected him to last all the way to the top of the second round.

This past season, Okobo averaged 17.7 points, 6.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals per 36 minutes on 47.5/39.4/81.9 shooting splits. When looking over those percentages, you can instantly tell that he’s someone who can help space the floor while also patrolling as the floor general.
