The Brooklyn Nets surprise hire of Steve Nash as their new head coach caught the NBA world by surprise on Thursday.
While some lauded the hire, it also came under scrutiny with some questioning Nash's hire.
ESPN's Stephen A. Smith noticeably slammed the hire, calling it "White Privilege," but the sports personality wasn't alone.
The Undisputed's Skip Bayless questioned the hire of Nash, when other candidates, such as Tyronn Lue, were available.
"I'm sorry, I would have liked Ty Lue more," Bayless said on his show. "I don't understand what went on beyond the scenes, it just seems so obvious, he's made to coach this team.
