Short-handed Suns come out flat, let Bulls set tone early in home loss

Phoenix followed up its craziest win of the season with a thud performance in Monday’s 116-101 loss to Chicago at Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The Suns allowed 76 points in the paint, shot just 26.9 percent from 3 and trailed by as many as 19 points. The disappointing loss followed Saturday's win at New Orleans where Josh Jackson nailed a 3 to tie it with 1.1 seconds in overtime followed by Devin Booker hitting a game-winning free throw after Alvin Gentry got called for a technical foul for calling a timeout the Pelicans didn’t have.

“I have no doubt that the much better team won the game,” Suns coach Igor Kokoskov said after Monday's game.
