The Phoenix Suns selected Serbian shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic with the No. 27 pick in the 2014 NBA draft. As part of a trade during the 2016 draft, the Suns sent the rights to Bogdanovic, along with the Nos. 13 and 28 picks, to the Sacramento Kings for the No. 8 selection. The Kings used the picks to take Georgios Papagiannis and Skal Labissiere, and the Suns selected Marquese Chriss.
Kings vice president of basketball operations and general manager Vlade Divac has stated his desire to bring over Bogdanovic this summer, and he reiterated his stance recently.
