Ronnie Price ideally fits, accepts Suns role

Ronnie Price is an efficient playmaker and aggressive defender who is relentless in effort and chock-full of character.

After a point-guard triangle helped undo last Suns season, the Suns seemingly could not do much better than to have a third-string point guard like Price who will embrace a potential part-time role coming off a season in which he started more than ever.

Price is accustomed to new roles, having adapted to six team changes in 11 seasons. With Phoenix, it is at least a return to a previous stop from the 2011-12 season when he teamed with Markieff Morris and a reunion with familiar faces from his Utah seasons with Suns coach Jeff Hornacek as a Jazz assistant and Suns assistant coach Earl Watson as a Jazz teammate.
