The Suns signed restricted free agent Alan Williams to a three-year deal worth $17 million, The Vertical reported Sunday night.
The Knicks reportedly had interest in Williams, but New York never extended him an offer sheet.
After extending Williams a qualifying offer, the Suns would have had 72 hours to match any contract. The Suns also extended an offer to restricted free agent Alex Len.
Williams, 24, was among Phoenix's best stories last season. The 6-8 forward – a Phoenix native – spent most of the first half on the bench, gaining attention for his cheering and support.
