The Suns have signed forward Anthony Bennett, the No. 1 pick in the 2013 draft, to a non-guaranteed contract, according to a report by The Vertical.
Bennett is just 24 but he’s bounced around the NBA and international basketball since the Cavaliers made him the No. 1 pick in ’13.
Bennett’s played for Cleveland, Minnesota, Toronto and Brooklyn and most recently the Turkish Basketball Super League, where he averaged six minutes per game for Fenerbache before being released.
Bennett, a UNLV product, will participate in Suns’ training camp, which starts Tuesday in Flagstaff.
He could be a candidate to join the Northern Arizona Suns, Phoenix’s G League affiliate.
