Providence's Kris Dunn tops point guards in draft class

CHICAGO – There was a stretch of the season when the Suns started two guards, Devin Booker and Archie Goodwin, who are younger than this draft’s top point guard.

There is not much to knock about Providence point guard Kris Dunn except that his age, 22, makes him Methuselah in the teenager-dominated NBA draft-lottery range.

Like Oklahoma guard Buddy Hield, also 22, the extensive collegiate career has served Dunn well to turn him into a polished playmaker and defender with lockdown pro potential.

“I’m more knowledgeable to the game because I have four years of experience,” Dunn said.
