Pistons coach Dwane Casey hated seeing new Phoenix Suns guard Langston Galloway go

Langston Galloway is more than a guy who can get buckets.

“You’ll get one of the best human beings possible,” Detroit Pistons coach Dwane Casey said. “He and his family are beautiful people.”

Way more.

“Langston is a leader, he sets the tone in practice, he’s a shooter and he’s a competitor,” he added. “He’s a quiet competitor.”

Casey said he hated to lose Galloway in free agency, noting the Pistons wanted to go in a more youthful direction, but Phoenix is now getting a player with all those qualities.

Averaging 10.3 points a game mostly coming off the bench last season (had six starts), Galloway sees Phoenix providing him an opportunity to play in the postseason for only the second time in his NBA career that began in New York in 2014.
