MILWAUKEE – Devin Booker has fun with it now.
Before scoring a game-high 31 points in Thursday's Game 2 win in the NBA Finals, Booker was asked if he ever doubted himself during his one-and-done year at Kentucky, where he didn't start or score 20 points in a game and only attempted 10 shots in a game once.
"No, I just know it was that Coach Calipari guy," said Booker as his face suddenly went from a scowl to a smile that broke up the media into immediate laughter.
Then he continued by saying like this season's Phoenix Suns, "every great team has to have sacrifices" and called John Calipari's platoon system "incredible" for that special 2014-15 season in Lexington.
