Media days for sports teams typically are filled with rainbows, smiles and optimism.
For the last decade or so, it’s been the best day of the season for the Suns, who turned hope into despair almost as soon as they started playing games that counted.
Never was that more true than a year ago, when General Manager Ryan McDonough proclaimed on media day that a three-year rebuild was over and the Suns told us they could be the most improved team in the NBA.
