Igor Kokoskov can only wait and see when Phoenix’s latest reported deal of sending Trevor Ariza to Washington for Austin Rivers and Kelly Oubre Jr. becomes reality.
The trade, first reported Saturday by ESPN, will likely become official Monday when the Suns (5-24) begin their five-game road trip against the New York Knicks.
This will be Phoenix’s seventh roster move just a little more than a third into the season counting the addition of Jamal Crawford and release of Davon Reed hours before the opener against Dallas and not counting assigning rookies De’Anthony Melton and Elie Okobo to its G League team multiple times.
