Knight, 27, hasn’t played in an NBA game since Feb. 15, 2017, yet he’s become an important figure in the Suns’ plans. Phoenix was expected to acquire a point guard in free agency – it still could – but, as of Thursday, the only true point guards on the roster are Knight, rookie Elie Okobo and defensive specialist Shaq Harrison.
