James Jones New Year’s resolution as the interim GM is simple: Make sure you get the best players possible to come to Phoenix this offseason, starting with the NBA draft.
Jones and Trevor Bukstein should learn from the McDonough era and know that drafting is very important. Whether they’re here to stay and contribute or use as assets for a bigger piece, they must select viable NBA players, athletes who can contribute and grow.
The NBA draft is somewhat of a crap shoot where teams can hit or miss regardless of where you pick. With that said, the McDonough era has brought on way too many memorable misses in a brief time span.
