If you think Suns rookie forward Josh Jackson has a lot of energy, you should have seen him as a kid.
“I used to run around the house just tearing up stuff,” Jackson said. “I cut up the couch once with scissors. I don’t know why. I’d take out pieces of our carpet. I think I was trying to make a puzzle with them. I would get in a lot of trouble. A lot of trouble.”
And his punishment?
“I didn’t get grounded,” Jackson said, smiling. “I got beatings.”
A boy’s destructive habits – and tender backside – have become Phoenix’s gift.
