It was setting up to be a catastrophic night for the Phoenix Suns, as they trailed by as much as 16 points to the 4-20 Washington Wizards.
Already entering the night having lost six of their last eight games, even in the midst of a five-game homestand, fans were getting ready to call it a season.
While this may seem like an overreaction, boos were raining down at the Footprint Center as early as the 1st quarter.
It seemed as if the Suns came into the night thinking it would be a cakewalk win; from the opening tipoff, it was obvious that the effort was just not there.
