Devin Booker was already doing his part for Special Olympics.
Now the organization is making him a bigger part of its cause.
Special Olympics named Booker a global ambassador Thursday morning as the Phoenix Suns all-star joined a list of players with the same distinction such as his teammate, Ricky Rubio, and fellow NBA players Damian Lillard and Andre Drummond.
Booker listed Special Olympics Arizona as part of his Starting Five when pledging $500,000 annually last November to five different youth-serving nonprofits in Arizona, and a total of $2.5 million over a five-year span.
The other four organizations are Ability 360, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, UMOM New Day Centers and Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center.
