CHICAGO – That might have been the best nap Devin Booker has ever taken.
After getting the early Thursday morning all-star call that he’d been invited to Chicago for the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, Booker accepted and went back to sleep.
He awakened even happier and has been smiling ever since. So much so, he even joked his reaction to the news.
“I was like, I should’ve already been here,” Booker said with a smile. “Naugh, I’m just messing with you.”
He can laugh about it now because regardless of why he didn’t initially make it or is replacing the injured Damian Lillard, Booker is now what he, his family, friends, supporters, teammates, coaches and many others believe he should have been all along.
