Phoenix Suns All-Star backcourt of Devin Booker and Chris Paul are cautiously optimistic about their first season together.
See, Booker has seen this before.
New additions. Lottery picks. Preseason hype.
Then watched it all come crashing down with another losing season.
So Booker, who can be reserved off the court, isn’t all animated like a large segment of the Suns fans base is in anticipation of the 2020-21 season.
“I’m excited, that’s what we’ve been talking about a lot of times when we’re here, but we’re not going to get too ahead of ourselves of trying to live up to the expectations that everybody has for us,” said Booker on Thursday from the new $45-million practice facility.
