The Phoenix Suns crushed short-handed San Antonio, 140-103, Saturday in the first of a road back-to-back against the Spurs to close out this 72-game regular season.
Devin Booker scored a game-high 27 points in 27 minutes as the Suns (50-21) are in position to finish the regular season with the top seed in the West and best overall record in the league, a feat they haven't accomplished since the 2004-05 season.
In order for that to happen, Phoenix must beat San Antonio again Sunday and have Utah (51-20) fall at Sacramento (31-40) as the Suns have the tiebreaker over the Jazz.
