It might feel to some Suns fans watching playoff games closely that Cam Johnson has seemingly come out of nowhere to deliver key baskets and give the team quality minutes.
Not exactly. Johnson has been an integral part of the rotation coming off the bench in his two seasons in the NBA. But he did have his best playoff series of the three the Suns have played in the recently completed Western Conference finals, averaging almost 11 points and four rebounds per game.
Johnson averaged 9.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in 60 regular season contests, and head coach Monty Williams has turned to him just about as often, minutes-wise, in the postseason.
